Up and Coming Theatre Company has an exciting change of plans for the summer!
We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with
Elgin Summer Theatre!
As a result of this AMAYZING partnership, both our show and our venue have changed!
With our new location, the rights to Newsies were declined, but, “oh, the things you can find if you don’t stay behind!” Join us for an adventure 20 minutes down the road, across the hills and deserts, past the Jungle of Nool, through the Hemmens Cultural Center and into the world of Seuss!
Up and Coming Theatre and Elgin Summer Theatre is pleased to announce AUDITIONS for:
Seeking creative and imaginative vocalists, actors and dancers, age 9 and up for Up and Coming Theatre and Elgin Summer Theatres summer production, Seussical™.
Auditions will be held:
Tuesday, May 14 & Wednesday, May 15 from 7-10 p.m. @ the Hemmens Cultural Center - 45 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL 60120
Callbacks will be by invitation only, Saturday, May 18th from 10 am-2 pm

Walk-in auditions will be accommodated as time allows.
All auditionees should prepare 16 - 32 bars of a song that best showcases their vocal ability. An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music in the key you will be singing. Singing acapella is not encouraged.
A dance call will be part of your audition. Please dress comfortably, have appropriate footwear and be prepared to move.
Rehearsals for this production will be held at the Hemmens Cultural Center, Monday - Thursday from 7-10 pm, with Sunday rehearsals added at the end of June. Not all cast members will be required at all rehearsals.
Performances will be held July 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 for a total of 6 performances at the beautiful Hemmens Cultural Center - 45 Symphony Way Elgin, IL 60120
