UAC's Mission

Committed to the Arts

Through collaboration and partnerships, Up and Coming Theatre Company creates diverse, thought-provoking works that engage our community. We strive to provide professional level performances that are originally interpreted and maximize the creativity in all aspects of production. We are committed to offering educational and mentoring opportunities for both staff and cast members to elevate their craft and to grow as people.

At Up and Coming Theatre we believe we are advantaged when we resemble our community. As such, we are an equal opportunity non-profit organization that creates diverse, thought-provoking works that engage our community. We do not require participation fees to ensure our volunteer artists are unencumbered by additional financial burdens. All aspects of artistic employment including the decision to hire, promote, or discharge, will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
