Up and Coming Theatre is thrilled to be partnering with Elgin Summer Theatre again to present IN THE HEIGHTS!

In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood.   It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams, and pressures.

This show was created for, and we are seeking, a diverse cast and staff to represent a multicultural community. We are looking for all races, gender identities, and body types.

All those auditioning should wear comfortable clothing and shoes for the dance portion and prepare to sing 16 to 32 bars of a song that best highlights their vocal ability.  An accompanist will be provided, so auditionees must bring sheet music in the key they will be singing. Singing acapella is not encouraged. Please bring a resume and a photograph/headshot with you at the time of your audition. (Resumes and photographs will not be returned.)
