Auditions are open to the public and will be held May 15 & 16, 2024, at The Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way in Elgin. Callbacks will be by invitation only. All those auditioning should wear comfortable clothing and shoes for the dance portion and prepare to sing 16 to 32 bars of a song that best highlights their vocal ability. An accompanist will be provided, so auditionees must bring sheet music in the key they will be singing. Singing acapella is not encouraged.

The Prom tells the story of an Indiana high schooler barred from bringing her girlfriend to the prom. When Emma's story pops up on Twitter, four Broadway performers descend upon her small Indiana town in an earnest, but misguided attempt to fight the injustice.
